About the Book
This book aims to encourage engaging children with differences with their normal peers by educating this age group on how children with autism feel and how to relate with them. The transcript was written in collaboration with the wonderful mother of a daughter with autism. Special thanks to her for her great support and consultation during the making of this book.
About the Author
A mom to lovely, young Nuwar, Alaa is keen to make sure her daughter’s generation lives in a world where children with challenges are naturally engaged with their “normal” peers. She was born and raised in Kuwait, where she had her primary schooling and was blessed with meeting children from around the world. By the first Gulf War, she moved to Jordan with her family and finished her degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse in cardiac units for five years. She moved to the United States to pursue a master of science degree in emergency health services and became a certified paramedic. She also earned an MBA. Alaa works as an academic at a university.
